Tribute to Mike Owen, 1938 - 2021

I am sad to hear the passing of Mike. What Mike did for me had changed my life forever and his approach to research had influence me. - Martin King (PhD student, 1998-2003).

First met Mike when I travelled down from Scotland to the University of Bath for an interview for a post-doc position in 1998. I subsequently worked with him for 2 years and spent quite a bit of time travelling with him to various places in Europe with work. Discovered we had a few things in common too. Very saddened to hear of his passing.
